Tool Crib Attendant (Temp-to-Hire)

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 6:15 AM – 2:45 PM (30-minute lunch)

About the Role
A manufacturing company in the machine shop industry is seeking a reliable Tool Crib Attendant to support daily tool crib operations. This role focuses on inventory control, organizing tooling and parts, and supporting production teams with tooling and supplies. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity for someone seeking long-term, stable employment.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide over-the-counter service to employees needing tools, parts, and supplies

• Maintain tool crib inventory records, including mold components and shop tooling

• Receive and organize incoming tooling and parts orders

• Manage inventory control related to mechanical parts and tooling

• Keep the tool crib clean, organized, and stocked

• Read blueprints and understand how tools and machines work

• Use basic math skills (decimals, fractions, metric system) in daily tasks

Requirements

• Experience in inventory control, preferably in a machine shop or manufacturing environment

• Mechanical aptitude and understanding of tools and equipment

• Good computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Outlook)

• Ability to operate forklift and cranes (or willingness to be trained)

• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs

• Stable work history is very important (this is not a short-term role)

Nice to Have

• Machine shop or manufacturing environment experience

• Tooling, parts, or crib management experience
