STAFF ACCOUNTANT

Location: Huntington Beach, CA 

Work Arrangement: Onsite Salary: $80,000–$85,000 annually 

Reports To: Accounting Manager

POSITION SUMMARY

California Faucets is seeking a Staff Accountant to join its accounting team in Huntington Beach. This is a hands-on role supporting the company's day-to-day accounting operations across general ledger, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.

The Staff Accountant will work closely with the Accounting Manager and other departments throughout the organization. The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, comfortable working in a small accounting team, and willing to assist across multiple areas as needed.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

General Accounting

•Prepare journal entries and supporting schedules.

•Perform monthly balance sheet account reconciliations.

•Support month-end and year-end close activities.

•Assist with fixed asset tracking and capital expenditure reporting.

•Prepare sales commission and customer rebate calculations.

•Prepare financial analyses and reports as assigned.

•Support process improvements designed to increase efficiency and strengthen internal controls.

•Assist with additional accounting and finance responsibilities as needed.

Accounts Receivable

•Monitor AR aging reports and follow up on past-due accounts.

•Review and maintain customer credit limits and creditworthiness.

•Review and process customer credit memos.

•Support monthly reporting of AR metrics and collection performance.

Accounts Payable

•Process vendor invoices accurately and timely.

•Perform 3-way matching of invoices, purchase orders, and receiving documentation.

•Research and resolve invoice discrepancies with vendors and internal departments.

•Maintain vendor master records and onboarding documentation.

•Ensure compliance with purchasing and approval policies.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education & Experience

•Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

•3–5 years of accounting experience, including exposure to both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.

•Hands-on experience with:

oJournal entries

oGeneral ledger accounting

oAccount reconciliations

oMonth-end close

oAccounts Payable

oAccounts Receivable

•Experience working with an ERP system.

•Manufacturing or distribution industry experience is a plus, but not required.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
