We are currently seeking a Senior Systems & Application Engineer for a leading wholesale distributor based in Ronkonkoma, NY.

Our client has been a pioneer in the commercial food service industry for nearly 50 years, specializing in the manufacturing and importing of culinary tools.

Job Description:

• Design and implement robust and scalable IT systems, considering performance, security, and cost-effectiveness.

• Configure and maintain servers, networks, and storage systems.

• Troubleshoot system issues and performance bottlenecks with strong analytical skills.

• Work closely with IT service providers and internal stakeholders to ensure security and compliance.

• Develop and customize applications to meet specific business needs.

• Integrate systems such as WMS (Latitude), CRM (Goldmine), and data warehouse (QlikSense moving toward Birst).

• Migrate data between systems, including complex migrations from legacy systems.

• Automate processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.

Qualifications:

• Technical Skills: Strong expertise in system administration, network engineering, and application development. Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or similar. Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases. (Actian pSQSL (Elliott database), Legacy language such as VB6 and Crystal Reports)

• Business Acumen: Understanding of business processes and the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.

• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve complex issues.

• Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  

Compensation & Benefits:

• Starting Salary: $175,000
