Job Overview:
Our customer is urgently seeking to hire a skilled Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to keep their facility and equipment in peak working condition. Your expertise will directly prevent costly downtime and ensure production runs smoothly. This is a critical role—operations depend on your ability to act fast, troubleshoot effectively, and maintain high standards of safety and performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete all preventive maintenance and work orders on time to avoid production delays.

• Perform equipment repairs and installations that meet food safety and regulatory standards.

• Prepare job kits and ensure corrective repair work is ready without delay.

• Report concerns immediately to the Maintenance Supervisor when issues fall short of expectations.

• Maintain mechanical systems across processing, packaging, utility, and plant equipment—including boilers and air compressors—to prevent downtime.

• Keep all equipment running at peak efficiency to ensure production stays on budget.

• Ensure temporary fixes are followed by permanent repairs to eliminate repeat issues.

• Conduct weekly plant inspections, document deficiencies, and escalate concerns quickly.

• Follow strict safety protocols including Lock Out Tag Out procedures at all times.

• Collaborate with Line Mechanics and assist with urgent repairs as needed.

• Uphold company policies, GMP standards, and food safety requirements.

• Be ready to work overtime when necessary to keep operations moving.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of hydraulic/pneumatic systems.

• Electrical experience: multimeter use, motors, contactors, frequency drivers.

• Welding skills: MIG, TIG, Stick.

• Experience with boilers and air compressors.

• Advanced troubleshooting skills and ability to act quickly under pressure.

• Familiarity with gearboxes, motors, sprockets, pulleys, chains, belts.

• Proper lubrication techniques for bearings and chains.

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, CAD designs, and regulations.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CMMS systems.

• Skilled with hand tools, shop tools, and precision instruments (micrometer, dial indicator, calipers).

• Strong communication skills in English (Spanish preferred).

• Ability to manage multiple demands, stay professional under pressure, and deliver timely results.

• Experience overseeing projects and coordinating contractors.

• Commitment to punctuality, respect, and strict adherence to safety procedures.

Education & Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

• 5 years of industrial maintenance experience.
