Position: Tool Maker Duration: Approximately 3 weeks Pay Rate: $28.00 – $30.00 per hour
Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Tool Maker to support our operations on a short-term basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating conventional machine tools, interpreting technical blueprints, and ensuring precision in all machining tasks. This role requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to deliver high-quality results under tight timelines.
Key Responsibilities

Operate and maintain conventional machine tools, including:

Milling machines (manual and universal)

Lathes (turning)

Grinders
-
Drilling and boring machines
-

Read and interpret complex technical blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications.

Perform precision measurements to verify dimensions and ensure accuracy using:

Calipers (digital and Vernier)

Micrometers and height gauges
-
Gauge blocks and pin gauges

Dial indicators
-

Utilize a wide range of hand tools with proficiency and dexterity.

Ensure adherence to safety standards and quality requirements.
Qualifications

Proven experience as a Tool Maker or Machinist.

Strong knowledge of conventional machining processes.

Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
