Mechanical Assembler
Job Description
The Assembler / Machine Builder is responsible for constructing, assembling, and rebuilding complex industrial equipment, including CNC spinning machines and flow-forming machines. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, blueprint reading skills, and hands-on experience with machine assembly and general shop tools.
Key Responsibilities

Blueprint interpretation — Read and interpret blueprints, schematic drawings, and specification manuals to determine assembly requirements.

Precision machining — Lay out, drill, ream, tap, and cut parts for assembly.

Component alignment — Position and align components manually or using hoists or forklifts.

Surface preparation — Remove rough spots and smooth surfaces using hand and power tools.

Repair and rework — Rework, repair, or replace damaged parts or assemblies.

Machine shop operations — Use lathes, mills, grinders, and welding equipment.

Electrical schematic reading — Read and interpret wiring diagrams and electrical schematics.

Forklift operation — Safely operate forklifts during assembly and material handling.

Metric system use — Read drawings in millimeters and work confidently within the metric system.

Geometric dimensioning — Apply geometric callouts during assembly.

Travel readiness — Travel domestically and internationally when required.
Required Skills and Experience

Previous experience in machine assembly or related mechanical fields such as auto mechanic, aircraft mechanic, or shop maintenance.

Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings, electrical schematics, and wiring diagrams.

Strong understanding of shop mathematics, including fractions, decimals, proportions, and use of measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and tape measures.

Ability to solve practical problems and interpret written, oral, diagram, or schedule-based instructions.

Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills.

Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize multiple tasks.

Forklift experience required.
Mathematical and Reasoning Requirements

Ability to calculate proportions, percentages, and measurements using standard shop math.

Ability to interpret charts, tables, and measurement tools accurately.

Ability to troubleshoot and solve mechanical problems with limited standardization.

Pay: $22–$25 per hour DOE Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
