Maintenance Technician
Reports To: Maintenance Manager
Status: Non-Exempt, Hourly
Industry: Printed Circuit Board Manufacturing
Pay rate: $23.00-$27.00 per hour
Shift hours: 3:00 p.m.-11:30 p.m.
Position Summary
The Maintenance Technician supports production by keeping HVAC/heating systems and facility equipment running safely and efficiently. This includes troubleshooting, repairs, preventive maintenance, and occasional support for the Waste Treatment Department.
Key Responsibilities

Identify quality issues, determine root causes, and recommend corrective actions.

Optimize the performance of HVAC and heating equipment.

Install or modify ductwork as needed.

Maintain and calibrate tools and equipment.

Repair or replace electrical wiring, motors, pumps, and parts of HVAC/refrigeration systems.

Determine and request the parts and materials needed for repairs.

Perform daily maintenance on assigned equipment.

Handle general facility repairs (painting, patching, plumbing, tile work, etc.).

Cut or drill openings in floors, walls, or roofs to install equipment.

Maintain an organized equipment and inventory log.

Keep work areas clean and safe by following all safety rules and procedures.

Ensure compliance with company, local, state, and federal safety standards.

Complete logs and records of all work performed.

Request needed materials and supplies from the Manager.

Perform special projects or other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
-
High School Diploma required; trade school or college is a plus.

At least 3 years of experience in the printed circuit board industry.

Knowledge of electrical and electronic controls used in industrial facilities.

Mechanical aptitude and experience using maintenance tools and testing equipment.

Ability to work safely on ladders and at heights.
-
Ability to work in confined spaces or on top of equipment.
-
Adequate lung capacity to work with PPE such as gas masks.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (with or without assistance).

Must own basic hand tools.

Ability to read and interpret electrical wiring diagrams and schematics.
-
HVAC experience and EPA certification are a plus.
-
Welding experience (TIG, MIG, Arc, Oxy/Acetylene, plastic welding) is a strong plus.

Must be able to work safely around hazardous chemicals.

Must be a team player and take ownership of assigned tasks.
