Pay Rate: $26.50 - $29.50 per hour

Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented individual with strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and proficiency in Microsoft Excel. The ideal candidate will be able to multitask, meet deadlines promptly, make quick decisions, and solve problems efficiently. Teamwork is essential, as you will collaborate with office staff and partners in remote locations. Experience in inventory and freight management is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

• Weekly Order Review:

  • Assess inventory levels and adjust as needed

  • Ensure proper rotation of inventory by reviewing code dates

  • Communicate changes to warehouse staff and sales personnel

• Freight Management:

  • Secure freight for multiple loads from various locations to storage warehouse

  • Negotiate competitive freight rates

  • Tender freight loads and coordinate with shippers and receivers for pickups and deliveries

  • Monitor loads during transit to ensure timely delivery

• System Operations:

  • Perform receiving and shipping duties in Sage (mainframe computer system)

  • Prepare weekly sales and purchase reports

• Purchase Order Management:

  • Review, track, and issue purchase orders for non-inventory expenses and storage/handling costs at outside vendors

• Accounts Receivable:

  • Review AR weekly and contact customers for payment

• Inventory Management:

  • Balance inventory weekly and at month-end

  • Reconcile inventory levels at storage facilities and resolve discrepancies

• Sales and Pricing Analysis:

  • Prepare sales pricing analysis for all customers

  • Maintain and update pricing files in the mainframe system for all vendors and customers

• Administrative Tasks:

  • Perform other administrative tasks as directed by the supervisor
