Schedule: Primarily onsite with occasional travel to nearby MA sites (Hopkinton, Shrewsbury, Waltham)

Job Summary
We are partnering with a global life sciences manufacturer that develops advanced bioprocessing technologies for pharmaceutical and biotech organizations, and we’re seeking an experienced Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Contractor to support environmental programs, regulatory compliance, and safety initiatives across multiple Massachusetts sites. This hands-on role is ideal for someone with strong technical expertise in air emissions, hazardous waste management, and broader environmental compliance, and will also involve supporting compliance assessments for new business acquisitions and helping to standardize EHS practices across locations.

Key Responsibilities
Manage environmental programs to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations (EPA, MassDEP, OSHA).
Â
Conduct GEMBA walks, inspections, audits, and risk assessments to promote a proactive safety culture.
Â
Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action development.
Â
Develop, update, and implement EHS procedures, policies, and training programs.
Â
Support compliance assessments for new business acquisitions and help identify and close site-specific gaps.
Â
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate risks and implement mitigation strategies.
Â
Provide EHS training, coaching, and guidance to employees and site teams.
Â
Perform hazard assessments, cleanroom-related safety tasks, and occasional off-hour support for projects or emergencies.
Â
Assist with multi-site EHS initiatives and standardization efforts.
Â
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or related field.
Â
5–8 years of EHS experience, preferably in manufacturing or life sciences.
Â
Strong background in environmental programs, including air emissions and hazardous waste.
Â
Preferred certifications: CSP, CIH, or CHMM (not required).
Â
Strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
Â
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
Â
Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to changing needs.
Â
Experience supporting multi-site operations is a plus.
