Part time Bookkeeper – Law Office in Los Angeles
Pay Rate: $25.00-$27.00 per hour
Hours: 8-12 hours per week
Position Overview A well-established law firm is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Bookkeeper to manage day-to-day financial operations. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with QuickBooks, a solid understanding of law-firm billing practices, and the ability to maintain accurate financial records that support the firm’s overall financial health.
Key Responsibilities

Maintain and update financial records using QuickBooks, ensuring accuracy and compliance with firm policies.

Process accounts payable, including receiving, coding, and paying vendor bills in a timely manner.

Review and track costs, including case-related expenses, overhead, and operational spending.

Prepare and analyze Profit & Loss statements, identifying trends, variances, and opportunities for cost control.

Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and trust accounts (if applicable).

Assist with client billing, invoice preparation, and payment tracking.

Maintain organized digital and physical financial files for audits and internal review.

Collaborate with attorneys and administrative staff to ensure accurate reporting of case expenses and reimbursements.

Support year-end financial preparation for tax filings.
Qualifications

Proven experience as a Bookkeeper, preferably in a law office or professional services environment.

Proficiency in QuickBooks (Online or Desktop).

Strong understanding of financial statements, especially Profit & Loss reporting.

Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.

Ability to handle sensitive financial information with discretion.

Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
