Overview:
Responsible for overseeing all financial operations within a growing organization in the manufacturing and supplement production space. This role requires a hands-on leader who can manage core accounting functions, ensure regulatory compliance, and provide strategic financial insights to support business decisions. The Controller will play a key role in driving financial efficiency, maintaining accurate reporting, and partnering with leadership across departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger
  • Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Develop, monitor, and analyze budgets, forecasts, and financial performance metrics
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations
  • Partner with leadership to provide financial analysis and actionable business insights
  • Perform cost accounting and margin analysis, including raw materials, labor, and overhead
  • Implement and improve financial systems, processes, and internal controls
  • Manage cash flow, banking relationships, and financing activities
  • Oversee tax filings, audits, and regulatory compliance requirements
  • Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets
  • Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory agencies
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a small accounting/finance team
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, supply chain, and quality teams to align financial and production goals
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of cost accounting and financial reporting
  • Experience in manufacturing, nutraceuticals, food, or pharmaceutical industries strongly preferred
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar)
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, hands-on environment

Pay DOE $70K -$90K
