Accounting Manager Role with a Real Estate Development Company- Anaheim, CA

Compensation: $130K - $140K

Summary

Oversee the full accounting function, ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and compliance with GAAP. Lead day-to-day accounting operations while supporting budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close process, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.

• Maintain and strengthen internal controls, accounting policies, and procedures.

• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll coordination, and general ledger activity.

• Prepare financial reports, variance analyses, and management dashboards.

• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash-flow management.

• Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and banking partners.

• Supervise and develop accounting staff, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and professional growth.

• Assist leadership with financial modeling, project accounting, and ad-hoc analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred.

• 5–7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory responsibilities.

• Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.

• Proficiency with accounting systems and advanced Excel skills.

• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication abilities.

• Proficiency operating Yardi Software
