Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to support our finance team with a focus on accounts payable, billing, and general ledger maintenance. This role is ideal for someone with strong organizational skills and experience in the construction and/or manufacturing industry.
Compensation: $27 - $30/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, +40 hours/week
Los Angeles, CA 90065
Key Responsibilities
•Full-cycle Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
•Heavy focus on AP processing and vendor management
•Billing and invoice preparation
•Maintain and update spreadsheets for tracking and reporting
•Perform bank and account reconciliations
•Assist with general ledger entries and month-end close
•Utilize Sage Timberline for accounting functions
•Provide backup support for payroll processing
•Assist with job costing and prevailing wage documentation
•Coordinate with union representatives for payroll and compliance
Preferred Qualifications
•Experience in the construction industry is highly desirable
•Familiarity with union payroll and prevailing wage requirements (this can be trained)
•Strong Excel skills and comfort working with accounting software
•No degree required, but relevant coursework or training is a plus
