Job Description

Machinist with welding experience

- The qualified applicant will be working in an R & D machine shop environment to make prototype and testing lift gate components and units.

- The applicant will be operating/handling heavy equipment and materials.

- The required job skills for this position are:

• Must have a combined experience of general shop machinist and aluminum/steel welder.

• Must have machining experience with manual mills/lathes.

• Must have welding experience with MIG welding aluminum and steel. Certified welder is preferred.

• Speak, read, and write English.

• Understand technical drawings and schematic with AWS D1.1 specifications.

• Able to setup, fabricate, and assemble prototype parts in accordance to engineering drawings, sketches, or verbally instructions.

• Must know how to use and operate general shop tools, machinery, and equipment, such as forklifts, torch cutter/welder, drill presses, band saws, grinders, hand drills/tools, wrenches, screwdrivers.

• Hydraulics, liftgates, and truck mechanics knowledge are a plus.

• Must be able to lift 50 pounds on a regular basis.

• Must be a safety conscious worker.

• Must have safety shoes and some personal hand tools to start.

First Shift

Pay Rate: $22 - $25

Monday - Friday
